This course has been developed by Mark Kerruish to incorporate current best practice in the field. It uses a different approach and materials and is a substantial improvement on previous courses he has taught.
This is a foundation programme that takes about 60 hours to complete. About half this time is classroom-based. The balance is homework and self study.
The TEFL Certificate covers:
- Methods and Approaches
- Language awareness
- Teaching grammar
- Teaching the four skills - speaking, listening, reading and writing
- Classroom management
- Lesson planning
- Placement, progress and proficiency tests
- Learner needs analysis
Observation and teaching practice is possible by arrangement. |

| Who should do this course? |
1. People who are qualified teachers in other subjects.
2. People who are already experienced in teaching English to first- or additional language speakers but lack a foundation and qualification in this particular specialisation.

Courses have different scheduled starting dates throughout the year. Please register at least two weeks prior to your preferred commencement date.
Please be advised that we require a minimum of 6 registrations or the commencement date will be carried over to the following month. You will be informed two weeks before the cancelled course if this is the case.
