| TEFL - By Distance Learning |
| Certificate in Teaching English as a Foreign Language |
This course has been developed by Mark Kerruish to incorporate current best practice in the field. It uses a different approach and materials and is a substantial improvement on previous courses he has taught.
This is a foundation programme that takes about 60 hours to complete. Assessment is done through the submission of several assignments. The Distance Learning programme covers exactly the same areas as the classroom-based course but goes into greater theoretical depth to compensate for the absence of classroom feedback.
The TEFL Certificate covers:
- Methods and Approaches
- Language awareness
- Teaching grammar
- Teaching the four skills - speaking, listening, reading and writing
- Classroom management
- Lesson planning
- Placement, progress and proficiency tests
- Learner needs analysis
Observation and teaching practice is possible by arrangement. |
